Purpose of Activity

To provide information about the first part of the 2019 Commission for Case Management Certification (CCMC) role and function study to gain an understanding about the increasing role and value of the professional case manager.

Learning Objectives

After completing this continuing education activity you will be able to:

  1. Explain the 2019 CCMC role and function study frequency, purpose, participant demographics, methodology, and design.
  2. Describe the CCMC study results for 2019 of case management practice roles, work requirements, and activities.
  3. Compare and contrast the CCMC study findings from the 2019 survey with previous CCMC study results to identify trends in role and function of professional case managers.
